Step into Middleburg Books—our jewel-box haven of deep teal shelves, starry ceilings, and subtle nods to The Secret Garden—and let yourself drift into the magic of stories waiting to be found. The Curated Book Tasting Experience is your invitation to pause, linger, and rediscover the art of choosing what to read as something unhurried, personal, and quietly luxurious.

This one-on-one, hour-long experience is designed for pure literary delight. During your private session, you’ll settle into a warm, thoughtful conversation with one of our skilled booksellers—true book-obsessed guides who understand the transformative, even curative, power a well-chosen story can hold.

Together, you’ll explore your reading tastes, the characters who have stayed with you, and the kinds of stories you’re craving in this moment of your life. From there, your bookseller—your very own book sommelier—will create a “tasting flight” of books: a curated stack chosen with intuition, insight, and a deep attunement to what might delight, intrigue, or gently restore you.

You’ll explore each selection together, discovering why it was chosen and how it might speak to your imagination or spirit.

This isn’t simply choosing what to read next.
It’s the experience of being deeply understood as a reader.

When appointments open
We release appointments in two-month batches, always two months ahead:

• Now booking: May & June

• Starting May 1: July & August

• Starting July 1: September & October

• Starting September 1: November & December
