A Note About Our Subscription Program

After much thought and reflection, we've decided to pause our subscription program for the time being.

While we've loved curating and sharing books, we've also learned a lot along the way. Some of the feedback we’ve received has been mixed - despite our best efforts, there were times we didn’t quite hit the mark or sent books our readers had already enjoyed.  On top of that, rising postage costs have made it harder to offer the kinds of value we strive for. 

As we approach our second anniversary this September, we’ve come to recognize that with our small but mighty team, we need to focus our efforts where we can make the biggest impact.

For us, that means prioritizing what we do best: offering thoughtful, highly personalized service - especially in person. That’s the heart of what makes Middleburg Books special.

We're now dreaming up new ways to bring that same spirit of personal connection into future offerings. While we work through the possibilities (and navigate our space and staffing limits), we’re hitting pause on the subscription program. Subscriptions that were purchased prior will continue to be sent out each month.
